Our history
D’ Original Lola Berta’s Lechon honors the legacy of Lamberta Tañga vda de Ramos, fondly known as "Lola Berta," the esteemed matriarch of the Tañga family in Pateros, Rizal. With a discerning eye for excellence, Lola Berta traversed distant provinces to personally select prime pigs for her customers.
Upon returning to the family compound in Pateros, these carefully chosen pigs were prepared only upon order, ensuring unparalleled freshness and delight for patrons. Each lechon is meticulously stuffed with fragrant banana leaves and slow-roasted in the time-honored tradition over smoldering charcoal pits, resulting in a perfect harmony of consistency and quality.
Today, Lola Berta’s proud legacy continues through her children, and grandchildren, who uphold the standards of excellence she established. Only the finest lechon bears the revered name of Lola Berta’s Lechon, a testament to her unwavering commitment to culinary excellence.
